A key part of the D3 Dwellings service offering is to provide staging assistance to our clients. We help sellers stage homes to sell and often assist buyers in turning that new house into a home.
As a real estate broker and certified staging professional, I draw much of my inspiration from my own home and years of experience. Okay, and Pinterest and endless episodes of Fixer-Upper.
While my home is not a fixer-upper (well not anymore), I have enjoyed turning my own house into a home and love using that as a launching pad to help my clients do the same.
One of my most recent inspirations was to create a "faux fireplace" in my home office. While I don't get to spend a lot of time there, when I do, I want it to be comfy, cozy and a bit of a sanctuary. I also wanted it to be a place of inspiration.
As part of my daily routine, I like to start with "gratitude" and giving thanks for all I have been given. On my wall, I mounted a Post box and then placed old notes and cards from loved ones to remind me daily of how much I am loved.
The mantel is a compilation of candles, greens and antiqued items surrounding an old wood framed ceiling tile I use as my magnet board to house favorite quotes or inspirational messages as well.
All I had to do was to "shop" in my own home for decor. Using my own collectibles. The same can be done where you live. Gather your favorite things, group them and display them in beautiful and inspiring ways.
Wishing you a wonderful day filled with gratitude, inspiration and love.
